Cystic Fibrosis Ireland are currently recruiting cyclists for the Paris2Nice Cycle 2017. Cyclists will fly to Paris on Friday September 15th and begin cycling through the beautiful French countryside on Saturday 16th September. The cycle will finish on the Promenade Des Anglais on Thursday 21st September where they will be greeted by the welcoming team followed by a celebration dinner that night.

Tony Parker Foundation 7th Annual Cycle
Registration will take place in the marquee in Egans Pub Mount Temple from 9.30am. Cycle starts at 11am. Route : Mount Temple, Moate, Tubber, Clara, Tullamore, Kilbeggan, Horseleap, Moate and back to Mount Temple. Water and snack stop in Tullamore and refreshments will be served in the marquee back in Mount Temple afterwards.

Tour De Connemara 2017
The SKODA Tour de Conamara 2017 will be held on Saturday 27th May 2017 starting and finishing in Clifden, Connemara. The event offers participants the choice of 140km or 80km routes (view routes) and will travel through some of the finest coastal, lakelands, valleys and mountainous landscape in Ireland.

Cycle like a pro over 3 stages in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

Carlingford 300 Audax
The route will leave Stamullen moving north through the counties of Meath, Monaghan and Armagh. Then heading east towards the Mourne Mountains and the main climb of the day over Spelga Dam (just once ;-)) at 167km. The route then returns over the Cooley mountains and down along the coast passing through Dundalk, Clogherhead, and Drogheda before finishing at Stamullen. There will be climbing, but the scenic nature of the route should make it worthwhile.

Tour de Boyne Valley
The 2017 SKODA Tour de Boyne Valley event offers participants the choice of 150km or 96km routes.

The Great Motorway Cycle
The cycle will commence at the Tuam end of the motorway adjacent to the Kilmore Roundabout and will consist of two distances that cyclists can take part in. Route 1 is a 100km loop from Tuam to Gort to Tuam and Route 2 is a 50km loop from Tuam to Rathmorrissy interchange on the M6 to Tuam.

Shannonside Cycling Club are running their annual SSCC GP race on Saturday 22nd July, catering for A1, A2, A3, A4 and Ladies. Sign on will take place at the Monksland Community Centre from 9.00am with the race starting at 11.00.

Westportif
The Westportif Cycling Weekend takes place on Saturday 13th May 2017, in Westport, Co. Mayo. Choose from three routes, 80 km, 120 km and 160 km taking in the breathtaking scenery of Croagh Patrick, Mweelrea, Doolough Lake, Delphi, Killary Fjord, Ashleigh Falls, Leenane village and the shores of Lough Mask in Tourmakeady.

Lough Key Classic
3 routes :33km, 70km and 115km. Weather permitting the King of the Mountains option will be at the end of the second loop.

Shay Elliott Memorial Race
The 60th edition of the National Road Series Race. the senior race will have a neutralised rollout from the clubhouse down Bray Main Street supported the Gardaí and the final 5km will be on closed roads. The race is scheduled to be broadcast on Setanta, Eir Sports and Bike Channel too.

Martin Earley Tour of Kildare
The annual Marie Keating Foundation Tour of Kildare in association with Naas Cycling Club, will take place on Sunday 13th August 2017. Every cent raised from this charity cycle goes to support the Foundations cancer awareness and support services, which they provide free of charge. 65km or 110km routes to choose from.

Sliabh Aughty Challenge Cycle
Portumna CC are running the Aughty Challenge in aid of the Portumna Social Services Day Care Centre. There are three distinct route options; the most challenging being the 110k Sliabh Aughty trip, the medium is 55k in length while the family run consists of a local 15k spin.

Martin Codyre Cycling Challenge
Run by the Martin Codyre Fund, the cycle has 2 routes available, 50km and 90km.

Cycling Ireland Mountain Bike Fest
A day for kids and teenagers to come and try mountain biking. Also open to anyone under 18 who is already into MTB. The aim is to promote mountain biking and get more young people involved in the sport. Cost is FREE

City Cycle Cork
130KM and 80KM cycle around Cork city and North County Cork. Open to all levels of cycling ability. The event is a collaboration between Enable Ireland and Elite Event Management who aim to deliver a world-class sporting event for Cork.

The Leinster Loop
The 130, 90 and 50km route events will take place on Sunday, 13th August. The family 12km and the 25km cycles will take place on the Saturday evening.

Giants Causeway Coast Sportive
Cyclists have the choice of 3 routes (57km/35m, 126km/80m and 182km/115m) catering for all abilities from complete beginners to cycling enthusiasts. All three routes start and finish in the small rural seaside town of Ballycastle in County Antrim.

Sport Ireland Rebel Tour of Cork
Celebrating its 9th year, the Sport Ireland Rebel Tour of Cork, returns to West Cork and the Beara Peninsula for the 5th time on 9th September. The event will form the final leg of this year’s Sport Ireland Cycle Series with 160km, 85km and 55km options to choose from.

The event will offer a challenging 100km route for experienced riders and a 60km route for beginners or those looking for a slightly less strenuous day in the saddle.

This is a unique 85km night time cycling tour in and around Dublin city, shining a light for those living with sight loss and raising vital funds for NCBI’s rehabilitation and children services. Participants will cycle from Dalkey to Howth and back to Dalkey, via the outskirts of Dublin city.

Cycle4Haiti 2017
Now in its eighth year, the event has been expanded to make it more accessible to all. The cycle includes two starting points; cycle from Dublin (200km) or Athlone (100km) with one big peloton arriving into Galway.

Quiet Man 300 Audax

Leitrim Glens Sportive
200km and 100km routes to choose from. The 100km route is within the abilities of all club cyclists who train regularly. The 200km route is for endurance cyclists who have trained specifically for the distance and climbing involved, with over 2,700m of elevation gain to be tackled. The course for both routes takes in the spectacular scenery of the glens of North Leitrim, with top-class marshalling and numerous foodstops. This year in the 200km route cyclists have the option of doing the original black route which includes of 9 climbs or the less challenging green route, which leaves out 3 of the major climbs.

Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford
The 50k Kelly Cruise will take in part of the fantastic new Waterford Greenway. The 160k Kelly Comeragh Challenge has been tweaked to challenge the serious cyclist even more with over 2000 metres of climbing! The much loved 100k Kelly Heritage Route remains the same as in 2016.

Killarney Cycling Festival
Depart from Killarney on the Wrong Way Round and tackle Molls Gap before heading for the scenic South West via Sneem. From there on the route is familiar passing Waterville, Cahersiveen, Glenbeigh and Killorglin. Or take the challenge and cycle The Hard Way Round taking a right for Ballaghbeama through the heart of Kerry to Ballaghoisin, a detour around the stunning Skellig Ring before rejoining the main troop on the road to Cahersiveen. Cross the finish line at the festival headquarters – The Gleneagle Hotel Killarney, where a barbecue and live entertainment will be ready and waiting. There will be food stops dotted along the 160km & 180km routes and official festival road captains to accompany and guide you along the way.

2017 Wicklow Mountains Challenge
2 routes to choose from, a 50km or 100km and are abilities are welcome. All proceeds going to the physiotherapy department at St James's Hospital. All participants receive a souvenir event jersey and access to the post event BBQ.

North to the South 400 Audax
With about 4000 m of climbing this should not be the toughest of 400’s, but close observers of the profile may notice a couple of sharp climbs, including the “Gap of Mamore” from the old Audax Ireland banner.

Wicklow 200
The Wicklow 200 is a non-competitive one-day cycle ride that takes place every June and attracts over 3000 cyclists from many different countries. Established in 1982 the Wicklow 200, as the name suggests, covers over 200 kilometres around Co. Wicklow, taking in most of the famous hills that have made Wicklow a major international cycling destination over the years. The shorter Wicklow 100 Challenge takes place on the same day, and shares most of its route with the Wicklow 200. it started in 1982 by the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association.

Western Lakes Ladies Sportive
Western lakes ladies Sportif is a cycling event for specifically for Ladies. This is a 68km sportif circling Lough Mask on roads which run along the shore of Lough Mask with the Partry and Joyce country Mountains providing a scenic backround. This year’s event is in support of the NCBI centre in Athlone.
